Done!I know - it looks all wrinkly, but once the vacuum pump is started it will pull a gentle tension on the entire mirror from behind and it'll smooth right out.
Day 6 - September 7th
Today a couple of the Simex guys came in and skinned the mirror in the visual dome. Thanks to one of our Engineers, John Lichon, for taking the pictures while I had a day off.

That's crazy. How do they think of these things? Really- a stretchy mirror! Was that inspired in the 90's: metallic parachute pants?! :0)
Yeah, it's cool stuff. Kinda like the Space Blanket material. There's a lot a smart folks around to come up with cool junk for us to enjoy.
